For this week, Madam Azida gives us a lecture about Instructional Design. So basically instructional design is the systematic development of instructional specifications using learning and instructional theory to ensure the quality of instruction. It is the entire process of analysis of learning needs and goals and the development of a delivery system to meet those needs. It includes development of instructional materials and activities; and tryout and evaluation of all instruction and learner activities. Instructional design involves creation of syllabus, planning of lesson, material selection and adaptation, and planning of implementation and intervention in order to achieve learning outcomes that can fulfill learners needs. ADDIE model was introduced to us during the lecture. ADDIE model is a framework for the development of instructional coursework. ADDIE is actually an acronym of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation.
This the ADDIE model framework.
There are also other models for Instructional Design, which are GAGNE 9 events, Dick and Carey, Rapid Prototyping, Guaranteed Learning, ASSURE and ARCS Model. My lecturer asks us to form a group of four and choose one the following model to be presented on week 9. My group which are Hanis, Syira, Aina and me had choose the Guaranteed Learning model to present to the class.
The above picture briefly explain about Guaranteed Learning. I think that is all for this week. See you soon!
